Estrella was originally created as an anthro unicorn as part of a trend on Hi*C & Michan's Oekaki BBS back in 2001. we (mostly Cari, Tasha and myself) started drawing some of our uni girls as humans instead, and pretty soon that was Estrella's main design, which hasn't changed over the years. she was always one of my favorites, but I drew her less often after high school.
in the early 2020s I started drawing her more often. when Cari and some other old deviantART friends did an online art show, I knew I had to do one of Estrella. I made a playlist to listen to while drawing it, which spun itself into a world that Estrella could exist in and have adventures and friends in. that world has been developing over the last couple years, and I came up with a story, so Estrella finally has something to do lol. it's my little eternal project, probably.

like I said, this is probably my eternal personal project. I may or may not ever upload it somewhere for people to read, and I'm definitely not interested in publishing! it would work best as a webcomic but I do not have the patience or discipline for that, so maybe someday... like when I'm retired. x_x; in the meantime, I'm putting up the world lore, plot and character summaries, excerpts, and spoilers if anyone cares about those!
Hearts Untamed was originally written for NaNoWriMo 2023 (RIP), my first NaNo in a decade. I got the story about halfway-done, with a lot of editing and changes for that still to do, let alone finishing the damned thing. so yeah. eternal WIP.

shoutout to my deviantART friends Cari and Tasha! we developed the loose roots of this story together with their unicorn girl OCs Pyathia and Rose back in the very early 2000s that have spun into Estrella's story. their dAs are not active but please check them out!
